Our Work

We take a two-prong approach to countering false information and shifting dominant narratives around race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and class.

The first prong involves the in-house media programs that our team of postgraduate Black women and nonbinary researchers produce.

The second prong involves our research and consultancy efforts, where we strategize around the visual linguistics of digital media targeted at Black communities and content creators to pinpoint entryways into critical cultural conversations flooded with mis- and dis-information.

We utilize this information to partner with media platforms, like YouTube, to provide strategic initiatives and consulting that targets these falsehoods, which in turn bolsters efforts by media platforms to combat information disorder through fact-checking software and other technologies.
